Philippe Masson is an independent consultant specializing in business strategy and the development of high performance teams. He serves as a senior partner on the supervisory board of the consulting group Transformance and as a senior adviser on the supervisory board of Scentest, a company dedicated to retail promotion services. A member of the Paris Business Angels network, Philippe belongs to the boards of Afplane and of the MIT club of Paris. After ten years as a senior economist with INSEE, the statistical arm of the French MOF, Philippe joined McKinsey & Company, where he participated as a partner in the foundation of the financial institutions practice and in the turnaround of the Paris office in the 80’s. He left McKinsey to become chief operational officer of Banque Arabe et Internationale d’Investissement (BAII). He joined the Capgemini group as head of Gemini Consulting France and became global leader of the strategic consulting profession until he left the group in 2003. Married and father of three, Philippe is a graduate of ENSAE and of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. He holds a Master in sciences from the Université de Paris-Jussieu and a MS in Management from the Sloan School of MIT. He has published a book on people-centric management – “Manager Humaniste”- at Editions d’Organisation, and a number of articles related to the theme of human capital and collective intelligence.
