World of Work

The world of work is changing at a very fast speed and in very interesting manners.

  • Technologies are allowing new behaviors both within the society and at the workplace, networks and communities are probably the most obvious but there are many others
  • Generations are more or less clashing in a more or less creative destruction. At the same time the world is experiencing a scarcity of talents as never before;
  • Society at large is getting more and more divided between the have (skills and Internet connections, those talents that are scarce) and the have nots (enough skills or access to the web, those often likely to be the majority of the unemployed)
  • Environmental issues are pushing for new value propositions from employers, for individuals in their daily life as employees and as consumers
  • Etc.

In other words there is a real paradigm shift happening, where the individual might be the king or the slave in a world of scarcity and of plenty; where the office of tomorrow will be less and less here and now and more and more anywhere, anytime, virtual and real, where having one work for one’s life has already switched towards having several jobs at the same time and with a constant changing of job portfolio.

The Boostzone Institute is fostering discussions and researches amongst experts from various social, cultural and fields horizons on the future of the world of work. Its aim is to understand, make hypothesis about the future, discuss them, propose solutions to corporations.

“Le Cercle” of the Boostzone Institute puts a particular emphasis on the evaluation of the world of work.
